i reblogged this on felix but like it's also highkey relevant to noel you can tell by the little things like his overall demeanor whenever he showed up twice every season to be shady he was just less... happy ? keeping alison's secret really had a toll on him and prevented him from pursuing his own interests & relationships & he'd do it again in a heartbeat bc like... das his girl but over time rosewood & high school & college & the whole future he was meant to have just felt so trivial my time jump divergence relies really heavily on this noel finding out who he is without all the external factors & kinda finding himself getting to have the childhood he never got & then coming back to rosewood to testify for charlotte & immediately feeling trapped once again honestly fuck marlene king i've put so much fucking thought into noel's characterization & she just used him as a plot device im mad again * ✦┆ file : you bitches never understood me . // musings .
