higher  education  was  always  in   the  cards  for  people  like  twenty-one  year  old  noel  kahn  of  rosewood,  pennsylvania.   raised  by  a  respected  judge  &  his  scheming  socialite  of  a  wife,  his  older  brother  eric  paved  the  way  for  all  around  success  through  academics,  extracurriculars,  & most  importantly,  throwing  the  best  damn  parties  their  perfectly  manicured  suburb  of  a  town  had  ever  seen.   growing  up  a  kahn  wasn’t  all  fun  &  games,  however.   like  all  esteemed  families,  theirs  was  not  void  of  indiscretions,  &  the   secrets  upon  secrets  that  plagued  noel’s  childhood  helped  shape  him  into  the  facade  of  a  man  he  is  today.   growing  up  in  eric’s  shadow  certainly  didn’t  help  —  with  their  parents  obsessively  pitting  the  boys  against  in  each  in  everything  from  football  to  friendships,  the  only  thing  that  managed  to  give  noel  a  sense  of  independence  was  music.   something  about  strumming  that  guitar  made  him  feel  special,  like  he  was  destined  to  be  something  more  than  just  another  typical  rosewood  boy .  .  .  &  it  did.

by  the  time  college  application  season  rolled  around,  noel,  like  his  brother,  father,  &  grandfather  before  him,  found  himself  pushed  in  the  direction  of  trinity  university,  a  small  but  dignified  school  known  for  their  extensive  programs  in  the  arts.   though  the  temptation  to  study  music  was  fierce,  he  was  forced  in  a  different  direction  by  his  old  man,  who  expected  noel  to  receive  his  bachelors  from  trinity  before  going  on  to  harvard  to  attend  law  school.   now  a  junior  &  president  of  the  fraternity  eric  helped  build  during  his  time  in  the  sun,  noel  has  once  again  been  pondering  the  previously  unthinkable  —  changing  course  &  going  from  law  to  music.   his  family  wouldn’t  dream  of  it,  but  when  has  a  kahn  ever  played  by  the  rules  ?
